- Theory and basic harmony: Everything from Bach, Beatles to Billie Eilish; in the same way Shakespeare had 26 letters to work with, we have 12 notes at our disposal. Learning how it’s all put together is not as hard as you think.
- Rock & Roll guitar: from the 1960’s onwards; Chuck Berry, Hendrix, Clapton, AC DC, Queen, G&R. Let There be Rock!
- Make it Funky: learn the funky grooves and rhythmic style of James Brown, Tower of Power, Prince.
- The Blues; ” It’s not what you play, it’s how you play it ” Learn how to bend strings, the blues scale, shuffles and more. Charlie Christian B.B King to SRV. Blues Power!
- R&B Soul and Motown; The classic fills, how to voice lead, major pentatonic and beyond.
- Songwriting; getting started; song structure, finding chord changes, creative use of loops, melody writing.
